Celebrate the legacy of John Dowland, the renowned English Renaissance composer, lutenist and singer.
In this lunchtime concert marking 400 years since his death, musicians from the Historical Performance faculties at the ¶¶êŽÒ•îl and Bremen Hochschule perform music from his Lachrimae collection as well as lute songs.
Perfectly complementing Dowland’s instrumental works are selected instruments from one of the finest sets of English viols in existence, the ¶¶êŽÒ•îl Museum’s renowned Kessler collection, dating from the late 16th to early 18th centuries.
