A distinguished instrumentalist with an international profile as a recitalist, concerto soloist, recording artist and pedagogue, Torleif Thedéen brings exceptional depth and artistry to this masterclass.
Torleif has performed with major orchestras including the Czech Philharmonic, the Netherlands Philharmonic, the London Philharmonic and the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, and in 2018 received the Edison Prize for his acclaimed recording of Messiaen’s Quartet for the End of Time with Martin Fröst, Lucas Debargue and Janine Jansen on the Sony label. His extensive discography also features concertos by Dvořák, Elgar, Saint-Saëns, Lalo, Kabalevsky and Lutosławski, alongside a wide range of contemporary repertoire.
